Happy Days for Women & Girls

Happy Days for Women & Girls

“November is my birthday month and as I was counting my blessings, I realized that I could really do much more contribution to society in the women empowerment space”. There are women and girls out there who are in need of basics you and I could easily take for granted – menstrual hygiene. Reports continue to show of girls missing school during their monthly period and women failing to afford proper sanitary wear, putting their own health at risk by using inappropriate materials.

A successful and empowered woman impacts positively to her family and community. I need your support as I partner with PrincessD Menstrual Cup to donate eco-friendly, cost effective and hygienic menstrual cups to disadvantaged women and girls under Mwanasikana Trust. My choice of cups is around sustainability. It totally positively impacts the person for up to ten years*. I never knew about these cups but due to travel outside my borders, I was impressed. Visit the Facebook page to read more about menstrual hygiene.

Please feel free to email names and contacts of potential beneficiaries who you know on melmudiwa@gmail.com. I have 10 cups to give away this November. The point is to ensure that those gloomy days are turned into happy days.” Mellany Msengezi-Mariri

Agree with you Mel. These girls need us. It is not only material things they need, they also need to be empowered with soft skills, information, and love.
